Veteran’s Cartooning Workshop

posted in: News | 0

A few weeks ago, Kurt Shaffert and I taught a 3-day class at The Center for Cartoon Studies for veterans from the Vermont VA.

Some vets made comics about coming home from the war and adjusting to civilian life, while others just told weird silly strange stories that were each poignant in their own way.

Kurt and I spent last night printing an anthology of their stories, and NBC news from Boston came to do a story on our project!

At last, we come to the climax of Delicate Lies!

1) This is the longest chapter yet! If reading it in one long scroll is too unwieldy, you can also download it as a PDF or ePub on Gumroad. Just type in “0” in the price field for a free download–

dinos16x9I did this drawing for a kid’s cartooning worksheet last week and then colored it over the weekend to practice the combo of ink wash and gouache.

Here’s the original worksheet format, created for Saturday Cartoon Club at The Center for Cartoon Studies!
